
Matt Chapuran
Matt Chapuran is the Executive Director of the Conservatory Lab Foundation, which supports a K-8 Boston school where all 450 students practice musical instruments every single day.
For over 15 years, Matt led or supported several of the Boston area’s key cultural non-profits, including the Huntington Theatre Company and Lyric Stage Boston, where he was Executive Director. For three years, Matt taught Arts Management at Emerson College and is working on a book about navigating a career in cultural non-profits.
The Sun recently published a piece by Matt in its Writers Respond series. “Coyote” was published last year in Constellations Magazine. Other stories have appeared online in The Bookends Review, Prose Online and Variant Literature, and his articles on green technology appear regularly in Official Magazine. “As I Live in Breathe” received an honorable mention in the Fall 2021 Writers Weekly 24-Hour Short Story contest. He received his MFA in Creative Writing from Emerson College.
